Tumbling Triangles Silk Cushion

This simple block of a triangle that turns and tumbles in a background square is perfect for a cushion design using two dupion silk fabrics as alternating backgrounds and a rich textured silk fabric as the tumbling triangles.  Two designs are available, one using a silk jacquard as the tumbling triangle, and the other using a silk ikat.

The finished cushion is approximately 16 inches (40 centimetres) square.

The cushion was designed by Lynne Edwards.

Lynne Edwards is an internationally-known quilt designer, teacher and author.  She has presented exhibits, classes and lectures in numerous locations in the UK and throughout the world.  Lynne has exhibited many of her own works in galleries and museums throughout Britain.  Her quilts have also been exhibited at a number of International Quilt Festivals  Lynne has published numerous books and articles and has co-edited the magazine,  “The Quilters’ Review”, published by The Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles.  She also writes regularly for UK quilt magazines.
