BS 378 is a silk brocade woven in India. It has a small hexagonal motif with a cream warp and an ivory weft, with a gold metallic thread as the additional weft thread. The each hexagon is 12 mm (0.47 inches) wide across the weft although the pattern repeat along the warp is double this as the design in each hexagonal row alternates.
It can be used to make stunning waistcoats for weddings or other special occasions. The small design makes it ideal for doll and dolls house use.
Please note that the appearance of brocades can differ considerably depending on the direction and intensity of the light. They are very difficult to photograph so any fabric supplied may not look exactly the same as these illustrations.
Size: Can be purchased off the roll, or by the half metre, fat quarter or piece.
