Silk Noil is often referred to as raw silk. This is an ivory silk from China that is very popular for embroidery, furnishings and clothing as it is very easy to handle and does not crease easily. Silk Noil is made from the short fibres from the cocoon rather than a continuous length of silk so it has a rough texture.
